At the CLA’s Board of Directors Semi-Annual General Meeting in Saskatoon on May 29th, 2010, CLA President, Joey Harris, presented John Herd with the Lester B. Pearson Award.
John has been involved in Lacrosse for over 40 years and over this time has made countless contributions to the game at the local, provincial and national level, particularly in the area of officiating including:
-
Authority on the Box Lacrosse Rule Book
-
Longest serving member of the CLA Officials Committee
-

The Lester B. Pearson Award is presented to an individual in recognition of outstanding contributions of sportsmanship and leadership in the game of Lacrosse and to the physical and mental development of young Canadians through unselfish dedication as a volunteer. The Brampton Excelsiors would like to congratulate John on this achievement and for the time and dedication he has contributed to our National Game. Well Done John!
